Never give up!

suicide

National / World Suicide Prevention Day was this week.  I posted this slide on my Facebook page but didn’t get a lot of attention – not much “reach” to use their lingo.

***Those of us who suffer chronic pain, who suffer from a chronic illness, sometimes reach a point where we begin to question whether it is “worth” going on.  We question whether the fight is worth it.  All of us have done it.  All of us have had to fight this fight with ourselves.***

I believe that each one of us is here for a reason, for a purpose.  Sometimes it’s very hard to understand what that purpose might be, but it is real.

***Part of that purpose to keep on going for each one of us is to help someone else.  We forget sometimes, because of the suffering we are personally going through, that we still have the ability to positively impact someone else.  So, no matter the personal pain, be nice to others.  Be thoughtful of their needs too.  The return on investment will be overwhelming!***

So stay close to your family and your friends.  If you think you don’t have any, get out and be with other people.  Talk to others who are fighting a similar battle.  If you are unable to go out, look for support online.  It is there.  There are caring people who personally know what you are going through!

***Create a support system of people who care because you care about them!***

And, don’t forget those who care for you.  Without them, life is so much more difficult.

***Be a chronic pain warrior.  Keep fighting!***
